Photographic documents in a superb organization of the latter, the photographs reproduced in this volume are due to Man Ray, Denise Bellon, Czigany, Elisa, Fachetti, Harcourt, Jérôme, Dora Maar, Stieglitz, Styrsky, Surrealist Archives.

Complete with glass monocle to read the ephemeris printed in small letters on the endpapers, attached by a ribbon, and inlaid in a cutout of the end pages of the volume. 

First collective edition, one of 300 copies numbered and signed by André Breton, here number 25 to which six original surrealist butterflies were added inserted in a numbered envelope.
